Good luck to 1 Centenary Square, nominated in the ‘Commercial’ category award at the RICS Awards West Midlands 2019 taking place tonight at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
1 Centenary Square, now home to HSBC is part of Arena Central, a £500 million mixed-use development scheme in Birmingham city centre, which Hannan Associates are proud to be providing Building Services Engineering and BREEAM Assessment for.
The 210,000 sq ft, 10 storey, Grade A office building designed by Make Architects accommodates around 2,5000 employees, providing high quality flexible working and break out spaces.
We are very pleased to have worked alongside Make Architects, Gillespies Lansdcape Architects, Arcadis, WSP and main contractor Galliford Try on the project.

Hannan Associates are currently working in conjunction with Leach Rhodes Walker & Integra Consulting as part of the design team, under Muse Developments to deliver a new ‘Office and Research & Development Headquarters’ for Dow Chemicals.
Dow Chemicals is a prestigious Fortune 50 global multinational, which was founded in 1897 in Michigan, USA.
We have been responsible for
delivery of the performance specification for the CAT A MEP services design,
which incorporates a multitude of tenant driven requirements; from specific
incoming power criteria, to zoned sprinkler system and bespoke ventilation
strategy. The principal objective being to facilitate the prospective tenants’
move into their new facility with minimal disruption.
Stockport Council have granted planning permission for the 26,100 sq ft building on Cheadle Royal Business Park, with construction anticipated to begin next month and completion in Spring 2020.

Hannan Associates are very pleased to be part of the team delivering Peel Land and Property‘s Liverpool Waters Development.
Our team is currently providing strategic, procurement and cost advice for the infrastructure required to support and enable the whole of the development. Our work includes the identification of the utility requirements, appraisal of the fulfilment options and procurement.
This is a key role in the master planning team and involves liaison and negotiation with the local utility companies and commercial operators in the ever changing utilities market. We are also providing site wide advice on sustainability to assist with the development of a class leading location and assistance with planning submissions for individual plots.
Liverpool Waters involves the transformation of the city’s central and northern docks, regenerating a 60-hectare site to create a world-class, mixed use development on Liverpool’s waterfront. When complete the development will provide the city with much needed job opportunities and will strengthen the connection between the waterfront and the city centre.
