We would like to update and reassure you that as an organisation it is ‘business as usual’ here at Hannan Associates.
Whilst the current situation presents significant challenges, we
are committed to meeting our ongoing client and project commitments in a manner
which follows the Government guidance and provides safe operational conditions
for our staff and those of the design and construction teams.
The information below outlines our approach to business
continuity and this will be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis as the
situation and Government guidance develops.
Remote Working
From Friday the 20th until further notice our staff will be working primarily from home.
Most people already spend periods working at home so we are not expecting this to have an impact on our ability to support live projects and meet agreed deliverables targets.
Contact with us
Email and all other sharing platforms will all continue working as normal.
Voice contact with our project team members should be made direct using their mobile phone numbers.
If you need assistance with phone or email contact details please email Charlotte Stansfield on [email protected]
Project Meetings
We are well positioned to respond to the need for remote meetings through a variety of
conference and dial in technologies.
We are willing to attend small group meetings (5 people or less) if these are considered necessary, until such times as the Government imposes further restrictions on movement. These will be reviewed individually assessing the risks to our staff and other attendees.
Site Inspections
Where sites remain open for visitors, inspections will continue, subject to individual assessment of the risks. During this period our staff will not take part in large group site walk rounds but will carry out the works individually or in small groups. Site contact may also be limited with communication with site personnel by email or other digital means.
Operational Feedback
Whilst we will be doing everything we can to ensure that our
service levels continue as normal if you do not think we are achieving this
please let us know by contacting the senior project lead who will take the
appropriate actions.
As always we would like to thank you for your continued support and loyalty and we wish you and your families all well during this difficult period.
Rochdale’s new town centre retail and leisure quarter Rochdale Riverside is due to open on the 10th April 2020 and we think it’s looking brilliant! What a transformation!
When complete the complex will provide 24 retail and leisure units including a six screen Reel Cinema and a Hollywood Bowl Puttstars crazy golf course. The latest occupiers to join the scheme are restaurant chain Nando’s, luxury dessert chain Heavenly Desserts and health and beauty retailer Superdrug.
Our team are providing building services design consultancy for the base build, including Part L analysis for each of the buildings.
Hannan Associates are extremely proud to be part of the team delivering this project that will help transform Rochdale’s commercial landscape and give its residents a town centre they can be proud of.
To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we caught up with past and present building services engineering apprentices here at Hannan Associates to see what they had to say about their experiences.
If you are considering an apprenticeship in building services please send your CV to [email protected]
The third and final phase of the Slate Yard Build to Rent scheme at New Bailey Salford has reached its highest point of development at 21 storeys.
The £30M apartment block is the largest of the three residential buildings and includes 21 storeys and 199 apartments with one, two and three bedrooms. The Slate Yard provides tenants with leisure and retail facilities at ground floor level, car parking spaces and pedestrian & cycle routes to Irwell River Park.
The Hannan residential team are very pleased to be providing Building Services Engineering consultancy for the project alongside other team members AHR Architects, Buro Four, Walker Sime, WSP and main contractor Morgan Sindall.
The design of the building and the services strategy utilises energy efficient features throughout to minimise its carbon and environmental footprint and meet the sustainable standards set out in the Part L Building Regulations.
Passive construction techniques in the design of the building include enhanced insulation to limit heat loss and an engineered façade design to maximise the use of natural daylight & passive solar gains but minimise overheating.
The Incorporation of high efficiency systems and effective controls throughout the design will help to further minimise energy usage. These features include: smart heating controls, heat recovery ventilation systems, energy efficient lighting and energy efficient lifts.
Photovoltaic panels have been incorporated into the building design to meet a proportion of the electrical demand.
The Slate Yard is one of several schemes we are involved with as part of the £650m New Bailey development scheme being delivered by The English Cities Fund, a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal and General and Homes England.
We are proud to be a part of the team delivering this important regeneration scheme which aims to create a gateway between Manchester and Salford and provide business opportunities for large and small organisations.
Waterside Places started building homes in New Islington, Ancoats over a decade ago and in that time the area has seen much growth. Ancoats is now one of the most desirable neighbourhoods to live in Manchester City Centre and has seen the addition of a school, new bars, restaurants, retail and office space – and there is much more to come over the next 10 years.
This exciting new development, which has now nearly sold out, incorporates 103 new homes including one and two bedroom luxury apartments and three and four bedroom town houses set around a central courtyard next to the Ashton Canal basin.
The Hannan residential team provided MEP Performance Design Duties together with On Site Installation Quality Monitoring and Testing and Commissioning Witnessing Duties.
