PROJECT OVERVIEW

Hannans are providing building services engineering consultancy for Weston M6 in Crewe.

The new state-of-the-art commercial and business park is being brought forward in two phases.

Phase 1 includes an enabling works package comprising the estate access road and utilities infrastructure works, followed by the construction of three build-to-suit logistics/industrial units of 148,000 sq ft, 405,000 sq ft and 200,000 sq ft.

Phase 2 includes outline planning permission for 575,000 sq ft of build to suit industrial and logistics spaces and offices.

As a part of our role Hannans are providing:

o Building services design

o Part L compliance assessments

o Utilities infrastructure masterplanning

o BREEAM assessor duties

o Operational Energy Modelling

Each of the units is targeting an A-rated EPC, are designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ and will be provided with electric vehicle charge points and dedicated roof space for PV array.

We are very pleased to be working alongside AEW Architects, CW Studio, Quartz Projects Services, WSP and Calibre Consulting Engineers on the project design team.

The site is situated between the A500 and David Whitby Way in the emerging Basford East neighbourhood. Once completed the scheme is anticipated to create 2,9000 new jobs.
